EU Agencies Forum – European Parliament, Brussels 6-7 December 2016
This conference will gather the EU Agencies, Joint Undertakings, their stakeholders from civil society and industries, and key EU policymakers. The participants will express their views on the valuable contributions made by the EU Agencies and Joint Undertakings to the achievement of the EU policy priorities set out in the Juncker Agenda, as well as the significant benefits they provide to citizens and businesses throughout Europe.
Martin Schulz, President of the European Parliament, Kristalina Georgieva, Vice-President of the European Commission and Herman Van Rompuy, former President of the European Council, confirmed as high-level keynote speakers.

University of Alicante course on plant varieties
On 9 & 10 November 2016, the CPVO will be presenting the Community Plant Variety Protection System at a specialised course on plant varieties at the University of Alicante. The course programme can be found here.

Presentations Vegetable open day 2014
CPVO, OEVV and INIA jointly organised a Vegetable Variety Open Day at the INIA facilities in Valencia (Spain) on Tuesday 21 October 2014.
This open day was aimed at breeders, their representatives, examination offices, and users of protected vegetable varieties in the European Union.
It allowed an exchange of views on essential aspects to vegetable DUS testing and in particular on the following issues:
- Latest developments in DUS testing procedures;
- The use of disease resistance characteristics in CPVO technical protocols;
- Collaboration between EU examination offices in vegetables;
- Better management of reference collections;
- Issues of concern to vegetable breeders and seed users.
